Bamboo is a eco-friendly fiber because the plants can be harvested without being destroyed, and regenerate rather quickly. It is a soft, light weight yarn, has great absorbtion of dye color and is a long lasting, durable fiber. It is popular for making socks and baby items. It can also be used for machine knitting, weaving, hand knitting and crochet. Bamboo can be machine washed and dried on delicate cycle, however with all our handpainted yarns, we recommend to hand wash, dry flat in order to preserve the vibrancy of the colors.
